Nehemiah wept, he fasted, and he prayed upon learning about the people’s condition in Jerusalem<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>
<\/div>
<\/div>

This is where God often begins His work in us:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. God opens our eyes<\/span> to see what is broken<\/li>\n
  2. God opens our hearts<\/span> to care about what He sees<\/li>\n
  3. God bends our knees<\/span> so that we will bring the burden to Him<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/div>

    As he prayed, he also examined his own heart
    \nHis burden for others brought him into the presence of God, and the presence of God brought him into repentance<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/div>

    What burdens your heart?<\/strong><\/span>
    \nDo we see what God sees?
    \nDoes what burdens God burden us?
    \nWhen God puts that burden on our hearts, do we take it to Him?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/div>
    <\/div>

    People around us need hope, truth, forgiveness, and salvation through Jesus Christ
    \nYet before we ask God to change them, we must allow God to change what is within us<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    <\/div>
    <\/div>

    So let us not merely see the need – let us carry the need to God
    \nLet us not merely talk about the lost – let us pray for the lost
    \nLet us not only ask God to use the church \u2013 let us be willing to say\u2026 Lord, begin with me<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Because when God gives us His burden, He is preparing us for His mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
