people may fail, even fellow believers may fail us
ministry work may wear us out or even hurt
suffering may intensify

the Lord stands
the gospel has to be shared
the kingdom awaits
faithfulness is not proven by applause, but by perseverance

let us resolve to serve Christ faithfully, whether surrounded by crowds
or standing alone, knowing that when everyone leaves, the Lord still stands
