the extent of ministry is not how many debates one wins, but how faithfully he/she handle God’s truth and build up God’s people

two essential characteristics of a faithful worker in God’s kingdom:

  • avoid useless arguments that destroy faith
  • handle God’s Word accurately so that lives are built up in truth

if we live this way, we will stand before God approved, unashamed, and fruitful in ministry
